✈️ Iberia has extended its suspension of flights to Venezuela until December 31 due to tensions between the Maduro government and the U.S., following a recommendation from the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (Aesa). This measure allows customers to change flight dates, destinations, or request ticket refunds. Iberia, part of the IAG group, was the first Spanish airline to announce this flight suspension.

✈ Wizz Air confirmed some of its aircraft were among the over 6,500 Airbus A320 family planes globally needing a software update. This update was successfully completed overnight between Friday and Saturday. All flights remain operational without further disruptions. Diarmuid O Conghaile, Wizz Air's COO, emphasized safety as the airline's top priority. ✈️ October saw a 6% increase in air traffic compared to 2024, according to IATA. Capacity grew by 5.8%, with an 84.6% load factor, 0.7 percentage points higher than October 2024. International traffic for North American carriers rose 4.5%. November's seat capacity is expected to rise by 3.6%, and December by 4.7%. Willie Walsh, IATA's Director General, highlighted strong demand for holiday travel despite uncertain economic forecasts for 2026.
