Lo spagnolo Ton Cortés trionfa alla Coppa del Mondo del Panettone 2024

🎂 IV edition of the Coppa del Mondo del Panettone took place in Milan at Palazzo Castiglioni from November 8-10, 2024, with 24 finalists in the Traditional Panettone category and 18 in the Chocolate Panettone category. Ton Cortés from Spain won Best Traditional Panettone, followed by Italians Pasquale Pesce and Maurizio Sarioli. The Chocolate Panettone category saw an all-Italian podium with Pasquale Iannelli, Pasquale Marigliano, and Armando Pascarella. Pasquale Iannelli also won the Press Award, while Piergiorgio Giorilli received the Maestro del Panettone Award. The Peruvian CMP Club was recognized for organizational excellence; Linda Sandrini won the Art Capsule Collection contest for panettone packaging. Upcoming selections for the 2025/2026 edition include locations in Italy, Belgium, Singapore, the USA, Brazil, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, and England.

Birrificio Italiano Spirits: una nuova linea di distillati firmata Agostino Arioli

🥃 Agostino Arioli, a master brewer with over 30 years of experience, launched Birrificio Italiano Spirits within Birrificio Italiano, a pioneering Italian craft beer scene. The new line includes seven spirits: Amaro Marasso, Drytto gin, Capparis aperitif, and four beer distillates (Albedo line), each with a creative and punk soul. These spirits, designed for beer enthusiasts, are distributed through Birrificio Italiano channels and offered at their Milan location. They can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or mixed. The collection also features Albedo in its pure version and three refined in barrels of Moscato Giallo, Rhum from Martinique, and peated whisky. In October 2024, after perfecting the recipes and labels, the line was ready for distribution.

Dalla Commissione Agricoltura via libera per la riduzione delle accise sulla birra

The beer industry seeks €6.9 million to regain competitiveness, after excise increases in January 2023 and 2024 led to market contraction and an uptick in imports from lower-tax European countries. Excise taxes account for around 80 cents per draft beer and 40% of the retail price for the most popular 0.66l bottled beer in Italy.
