Export dell'olio d'oliva italiano: dopo quattro anni il bilancio torna positivo

🌻 Italian olive oil exports surpassed €2 billion from January to August 2024, marking a 59% increase over the same period in 2023, reversing a four-year negative trend. Boosted by price hikes, this resulted in a €5.2 million surplus. Exports to non-European markets grew by 9.6% in volume, with significant rises to the USA (+9.6%), Japan (+6.1%), Canada (+12.9%), and Germany (+17.9%). Extra virgin olive oil ("EU Cat.1") accounted for about 85% of foreign sales, exceeding €1.7 billion. Over 70% of Italy's 1.1 million hectares of olive cultivation is in hills or mountains, aiding in hydrogeological stability. Global olive cultivation spans over 11 million hectares, noted for its CO2 sequestering ability, making it the most eco-sustainable agricultural crop.

Since its UK inception in 2018, Deliveroo Packaging has distributed over 25 million units, saving 25,000 kg of plastic and cutting CO2 emissions by around 30,000 kg. Partnership with PackHelp ensures quality packaging, and in Italy, it reaches two-thirds of the population, covering over 1,800 municipalities.
