The service provider has joined the Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA). The largest membership organisation for tourism and hospitality businesses in Scotland represents the interests of the industry.
Founded in Switzerland, the company aims to work with members of the established Scottish Tourism Alliance to optimise the profitability of the country’s hotels and promote sustainable growth.
“The Scottish Tourism Alliance is an organisation that has done much to support and develop tourism and specifically hotels in Scotland. I look forward to working with the STA. We may be able to add some of their members’ beautiful locations to the existing markets in which we already operate across Europe. Together with our partner hotels, we develop customised, holistic strategies for the sustainable sale of rooms by combining technology and decades of experience in the industry,” says Florian Augustin, Deputy CEO of HotelPartner Revenue Management.
Marc Crothall MBE, CEO of the Scottish Tourism Alliance, adds: “I am also delighted to welcome HotelPartner to the Scottish Tourism Alliance family. HotelPartner is a respected service provider driven by the values of optimisation, success and security, making it a fantastic addition to our extensive network dedicated to supporting Scotland’s tourism and hospitality industry. Their expertise and proven track record in maximising sales and reducing costs for companies in the industry will be of great value to our members. The industry must continue to cope in an increasingly difficult economic environment. However, it is committed to achieving the clearly defined and long-term ambitions outlined in Scotland Outlook 2030, Scotland’s national tourism strategy.
According to the latest figures from business intelligence provider CoStar, Scotland’s hotels are outperforming the UK as a whole. The twelve-month data to October shows a RevPAR increase of 8.5%, which is above the UK average of 2.4% in 2023. The Scottish capital Edinburgh even recorded double-digit price growth over the course of the year.
At the same time, the hotel industry in Scotland is also facing major challenges: these include a shortage of skilled labour, a lack of expertise and a confusing range of technologies. This is where the partnership with HotelPartner Reveneue Management is intended to support hoteliers.
Robust trade has also helped to attract investment to the region. Leading international commercial property service provider Colliers reported that figures for the third quarter of 2024 reached £110 million, a 150% increase on the five-year average of £44 million. This brings the total amount since the beginning of the year to £200 million. This corresponds to an increase of 18% compared to 2023. The estate agent also noted that buyers were targeting leisure hotels as well as city centre locations.
The HotelPartner Revenue Management team will be attending ScotHot 2025 – Scotland’s leading food, drink, hospitality, retail and tourism exhibition – from 26-27 February 2025. Presentations are also planned as part of the STA Spotlight Stage.
