Wizz Air e Airbus: si stringe la partnership per ampliare il network

🌍 Wizz Air enhances its green fleet with an Art Nouveau livery designed by Slovak artist Èva Kerényi on its 132nd Airbus A321neo, celebrating 20 years of sustainability and innovation. In February, the first A321xlr will join the fleet, expanding Wizz Air's reach into Central Asia. Yvonne Moynihan and Christoph Zammert hailed the new design for embodying the company's strategic sustainability goals. Wizz Air Malta's new Airbus will serve over 200 destinations, adding to the 400 million passengers flown by the carrier. With an average fleet age of four years, Wizz Air aims to grow from 220 to 500 aircraft, as stated by Owain Jones during the handover at Airbus's Hamburg production site.

📌 The Italian Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè, highlighted the government's efforts to regulate short-term rentals. A reform initiated in early June requires all properties used for such rentals to have a National Identification Code (Codice Identificativo Nazionale) and to be included in the Tourism Ministry's database by the end of the year. Penalties for non-compliance include sanctions on online platforms. Over 10,000 codes have been issued in seven leading regions, adding to the existing regional identification codes being converted. The reform aims to protect private property, tourists, and combat unfair competition and illegal rentals.

Intesa Sanpaolo: 10 miliardi di euro per l’hospitality

🏨 Intesa Sanpaolo has allocated €10 billion for the requalification of Italian hotels, digitalization, and energy independence initiatives, part of a larger €120 billion funding until 2026 within the 'Il futuro è la nostra impresa' program. €3 billion is specifically earmarked for businesses in Southern Italy, aiming at a sustainable competitive transition and energy efficiency. Tourism in Southern Italy is expected to surpass pre-Covid levels by 2.8% in 2024, with nearly 89 million overnight stays. Last year, 58% of tourists were food and wine enthusiasts, up from 45% in 2019.
