Boeing e la ripresa del traffico: previsti 44mila nuovi aerei

  • ttgitalia
  • 22 Luglio 2024
✈️ Boeing predicts that by 2048, airlines will require nearly 44,000 new airplanes, marking a 3% increase in the next 20 years due to post-Covid air transport recovery, emerging markets, and rising global demand for single-aisle aircraft. Announced at the Farnborough International Airshow, Boeing's Commercial Market Outlook forecasts an average passenger air traffic growth of 4.7% annually over the next two decades. The global commercial fleet is expected to grow by 3.2% annually. South Asia’s passenger traffic will rise by 7.4%, Southeast Asia by 7.2%, and Africa by 6.4%. Eurasia leads in projected plane deliveries with 22%, followed by North America and China at 20% each. Single-aisle planes will constitute 71% of the 2043 fleet after 33,380 new deliveries, while the global widebody fleet will more than double, representing 44% of the Middle East's fleet.

Overtourism: ‘Gestire i flussi spetta alla politica’

  • ttgitalia
  • 22 Luglio 2024
📍 Over-tourism in locations like Barcelona and Venice is not just a perception; it's a factual pressure that needs serious management. Jan Van Der Borg, a professor at Ca' Foscari University in Venice and Leuven, emphasizes the concept of 'carrying capacity,' suggesting destinations have a threshold that, when exceeded, leads to conflict between locals and visitors. Venice receives 30 million visitors annually, surpassing its estimated capacity of 19 million. Side effects include increased living costs and environmental impacts, with net negative effects once the carrying capacity is surpassed. Van Der Borg critiques Venice's implemented tourism ticket for being poorly executed and suggests a reservation system aligned with carrying capacity. He defends short-term rentals, stating the link to housing discomfort is hard to prove, mentioning Venice began depopulating in the 1950s. Van Der Borg advocates for strategies focused on locals and sustainable tourism rather than high-spending tourists.

Il viaggio di nozze cambia Le nuove formule allo studio dei network

  • ttgitalia
  • 22 Luglio 2024
🏖️ The traditional honeymoon season of spring and summer has changed, with no specific season now preferred. Claudio Busca of Gruppo Bluvacanze notes a market trend shift, with new generations already having long-range experience before marriage. The average honeymoon budget used to be around 20,000 euros, but now prices are lower (2,500 to 5,000 euros per person) due to off-season travel and occasions such as vow renewals or anniversaries. Wedding planners help optimize trips, with destinations chosen based on specific interests, like cherry blossoms in Japan. Dante Colitta of Welcome Travel Group mentions honeymoons can be shorter (2 or 3 nights) and less costly. Sergio Testi from Gruppo Gattinoni highlights a need to rethink the honeymoon format, especially for the 25-40 age group, leading to closer collaboration with tour operators.

Cosa è cambiato (per sempre) nel turismo, quattro estati dopo il Covid

  • ttgitalia
  • 22 Luglio 2024
🏖️ In July 2020, the world was in the post-pandemic phase; now, five key changes are noted. Masks, sanitizers, and social distancing are mostly gone, with previous security habits after 9/11 still in place but pandemic precautions expected to return only with a new pandemic. Prices in Italy for dining and weekend stays have increased by 30-40% since 2019, with tourists, especially Americans, benefiting from a strong dollar. The travel industry has seen Japan rise in popularity due to better value compared to 2019, while China's tourism has slowed down and Russia has been removed from Italian tour operator offerings. Post-pandemic, people are more demanding and intolerant, as seen in reactions to a post about beach amenities costing more. Despite challenges, the tourism industry has proven resilient, with overtourism now an issue, showing the enduring value of travel.
