AGEVITY 2024: Longevità, Società, Economia, Futuro

🎭 AGEVITY's second edition, a national event focused on leveraging longevity for Italy's social and economic development, will take place in Milan on September 24-25, 2024. Originating from the Silver Economy Network project, the first edition occurred on October 3, 2023, at Palazzo Mezzanotte with over 500 stakeholders, including high-level institutions like the Ministry of Health and the Bank of Italy. ESTATE 2024: +6,3% LE PRENOTAZIONI DEGLI STRANIERI NELLE LOCALITÀ BALNEARI

🏖 Summer 2024 sees a 1.5% increase in domestic bookings and a 6.3% increase in foreign bookings for sun&beach destinations in Italy. Germans, Swiss, and French tourists prefer Italian coasts over the ongoing Olympics. Over 85% of rooms were booked for the month, with the third week of August already sold out. However, art cities experience a mixed trend, with stable hotel bookings in the first two weeks of August 2024 but lower reservations from the third week onwards compared to 2023. A slight decrease (0.1%) in international bookings is noted from the fourth week. Venice has an occupancy rate above 72% for the first two weeks, dropping to 65% in the following weeks. Rome's occupancy is 70% in early August, decreasing to 60% from the 12th to the 31st. Milan follows a similar pattern, with a 60% booking rate initially, reducing to 50% later in the month. President of Associazione Italiana Confindustria Alberghi, Maria Carmela Colaiacovo, suggests international interest in beach destinations as a driver for elongating the tourist season.

Executive Master Management dello Sviluppo Turistico Territoriale

🏖️ Touring Club Italiano and Fondazione Campus annually offer the executive master Management dello Sviluppo Turistico Territoriale for recent graduates and professionals. The course, updated each edition, includes artificial intelligence in tourism for its 5th edition. Hybrid format (online and in-person in Milan) starts on November 15, with registration closing October 31, 2024.

Cin per gli affitti brevi, dal 24 luglio l’accesso a Liguria e Sardegna

🏠 Starting from July 24, the experimental phase of Italy's national database for tourist accommodations will include Liguria and Sardinia. Previously added regions are Puglia, Abruzzo, Calabria, Lombardy, Marche, Sicily, and Veneto. Updates on service activation in other regions and autonomous provinces will be posted on the Tourism Ministry's website in the coming weeks. The platform allows property owners to request a National Identification Code (CIN) for advertising and displaying at their properties. Demoskopika:in crescita le presenze turistiche, ma anche l’inflazione

🏖 Arrivi turistici in Italia previsti ad agosto: oltre 18,2 milioni (+3.2% su 2023). Presenze turistiche: 85,6 milioni (+0.8%). Incremento del mercato estero: più di 8,8 milioni di stranieri (+8%). Spesa per consumi turistici: 18,8 miliardi di euro (+4,7%). Inflazione turistica a giugno: +3,6% annuo. Inflazione turistica mensile: +1,2% a giugno 2024. Italia quarto posto in Europa per l'inflazione turistica più bassa: 3,9%.

City Destinations Alliance: Roma è la prima città europea per crescita turistica

🏖 Rome leads European tourism growth with a 45.2% increase over the previous year, according to the City Travel Report by the City Destinations Alliance. Surpassing London (+32.1%) and Vienna (+30.6%), the Italian capital hit a record of 50 million tourist presences in 2023. In the first half of 2024, presences rose by 4.89% and arrivals by 6.5%, while average stays extended from 2.3 to 4 nights.
