💰 Domestic flight booking intentions for Christmas in Italy decreased by 39% compared to 2023, while bookings from continental travelers to Italy by air dropped by 14%. Internals flights hold the largest market share at 19.4%, with the United States representing the second-largest tourist market at 17.7%, followed by the UK at 9.5%. Top cities for hotel stays are Rome (48.4%), Milan, Florence, and Venice. Italians will spend an average of 843 euros on Christmas travel and 525 euros on entertainment and experiences. 📉

🏖️ 71% of Italians plan to vacation during Christmas, with 38% staying away up to 3 days, 25% for 3-5 days, 21% for a week, and 14% for 8-15 days. Nearly half choose family holidays (46%), followed by couple (29%), friends (18%), and solo trips (7%). Top national destinations: Milan, Naples, Rome, Catania, and Turin; top European cities: Paris, Vienna, London, Prague, Amsterdam; top non-European locations: New York, Sharm El Sheikh, Istanbul, with Dubai and the Maldives in the mix. Holidu: Ponte di Ognissanti, gli italiani premiano la Toscana e Roma

🌆 Italians prefer Tuscany for the All Saints' Bridge, with Lucca leading Holidu's top 30 destinations, followed by Rome and Florence. Naples, Turin, and Livigno (sixth) rank just behind, while the first foreign city, Barcelona, is eighth, with Paris (tenth) also popular. Tuscany boasts 7 cities in the list, Lombardy and Veneto each have 3, and Umbria shines with Assisi (seventh). Italian destinations dominate with 27 out of 30. Paris is the most expensive city at €362 per night, while Viterbo is the most affordable at €102 per night.

🌍 60% of travelers plan to visit major cities in 2025, with Italians at 70%, and Gen Z at 74%. Omio's 2024 bookings for capitals increased by 51% for multimodal reservations. Solo travel is on the rise, with 30% of men and 23% of women globally, and 22% of male vs. 18% female travelers in Italy considering solo trips in 2025. Over 25% of Italian respondents plan to spend more than €2,000 on international travel. Language barriers and unfamiliar transport companies stress 29% of travelers globally, rising to 36% among Italians. In 2025, 44% will rely on AI for travel planning, up from 27% in 2024. The preference for high season travel in June-August remains strong, with 76% favoring it in 2025. 42% of Omio's summer bookings are for these months. Italian travelers' use of AI for destination suggestions could rise to 32% in 2025, with 45% planning to use AI for travel booking, an increase from 24% in 2024. Sustainable travel is important to 68% of Italians, with Gen Z at 71%, aligning with global trends towards minimizing negative impacts.

🎢 Confindustria Nautica attended the Singapore leg of the Amerigo Vespucci World Tour, presenting the XII edition of "Esportare la Dolce Vita" report by Centro Studi, supported by Unicredit and in collaboration with Sace. BBF (Bello e Ben Fatto) goods span leisure nautical, food, jewelry, fashion, and furniture sectors, embodying Italian excellence. BBF products amount to 711 categories, worth €161.3 billion, 26.2% of Italian exports, with growth potential valued at €174.5 billion. Italian exports to ASEAN, including Singapore, with a potential €1 billion BBF growth, reached nearly €3 billion in 2023, a 17% increase. The Italian leisure boating industry hit a record €4 billion in exports in 2023, up 15.9% from 2022, with a global leadership in superyacht production, holding 51% of orders.

🏛 On October 31, at the Mediterranean Exchange of Archaeological Tourism in Paestum, a roundtable on "European funds for the enhancement of archaeological heritage and cultural tourism" was held, organized by the European Parliament Office Italy and the European Commission Representation in Italy with Civita Association. The meeting highlighted the European Union's various funding programs for Italy and the €4.2 billion from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) allocated for cultural initiatives, of which €500 million is for digitization and €300 million for parks and historical gardens. To date, 30% of these resources have been spent, primarily by local authorities, with challenges in training implementing subjects. Discussion included decentralized tourism and destagionalization strategies, emphasizing the need for shared and respectful promotion and planning.

Six US presentations in two years, including New York and Newport. The 64th Genoa Show (19-24 Sept) featured the 5th Design Innovation Award. Italian Trade Agency Miami organized two events (31 Oct & 1 Nov) at FLIBS. Italy's 2023 marine export hit a record $691 million, up 20% from 2022. Italy's boating industry revenue reached €8.33 billion in 2023, with over 30,000 direct jobs. Despite changing 2024 trends, industry prospects remain positive.

🌊 Roberto Perocchio, President of Assomarinas, announced on October 31 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida the Icomia World Marinas Conference, scheduled for October 15-17, 2025 in Venice at Isola della Certosa. The event will host a maximum of 500 participants from every continent and around 40 speakers from Icomia-affiliated marina organizations. It's supported by the Italian Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Tourism, and the NMMA. Registrations are open at www.worldmarinasconference.com.
