The initiative, supported by 87 organizations, aims to implement the Pact for Skills under the European Skills Agenda, fostered by the European Commission. The webinar addresses technology's role in tourism, including automation, personalized marketing, and contactless services. Part of the "Tourism Talks" series begun in 2024, it continues into 2025 with events on AI and twin transition training models. FS ITALIANE E ITA AIRWAYS: BIGLIETTO TRENO + AEREO PER VIAGGI TRA ITALIA E SPAGNA

🚀 Trenitalia's Iryo and ITA Airways signed an agreement for integrated "train + air" travel between Spain and Italy. Passengers can book combined trips with a single reservation, accessing over 20 Italian airports, including Rome, Milan, Venice, Florence, and Naples. Iryo, the first private high-speed Spanish operator, began services with the Frecciarossa train on November 25, 2022, has since added destinations like Valencia, Cuenca, Seville, Malaga, Cordoba, Alicante, and Albacete, and has carried over 13 million passengers. ITA Airways flies to 55 destinations, with 84 weekly flights between Spain and Italy, offering 21 frequencies from both Madrid and Barcelona to Rome Fiumicino. Tickets can be purchased on ITA Airways' website, travel agencies, its ticket offices, and Customer Information Assistance Office.

🛥 The 14th edition of the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference, announced at the Miami Boat Show by Assomarinas President Roberto Perocchio and Vento di Venezia's Alberto Sonino, will take place in Venice from October 15-17, 2025. The event is set to be the largest ever with strategic partnerships with D-Marin and Ferretti Group. It will host over 50 speakers and 500 sector representatives, discussing urban waterfront regeneration, artificial intelligence, IoT sensors, new fuels, dry storage techniques, and environmental sustainability. Supporters include Marinedi, Ingemar, Amer Yachts, Rina, White Milestone, Marina Projects, and Naval Tecno Sud.

Il Gruppo FS nel consorzio per la realizzazione della prima metropolitana di Riyadh

🚉 Riyadh's first metro system in Saudi Arabia, managed by the FS Group partnered with Ansaldo STS and Alstom in Consortium FLOW, includes six lines spanning 176 kilometers with 90 stations. The FS Group, working since 2018, secured a 12-year operation & maintenance contract for lines 3, 4, 5, and 6. The Orange Line (Line 3), inaugurated earlier this year, is the longest at over 40 kilometers, featuring the Qasr Al Hokm Downtown station. This public transport project aims to reduce CO2 emissions by transitioning from individual to collective mobility. Additionally, the FS Group operates through Italferr and Italcertifer and established Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Saudi Arabia for land transport in 2019, focusing on MENA region expansion.

DL Milleproroghe, nuovi termini per il turismo, Santanchè: “Risultato importante”

🏖 The Italian Tourism Minister Daniela Santanchè announced the approval of the DL Milleproroghe, extending deadlines for tourism-related measures. Regions along the Apennine ridge can use 2023 and 2024 budget residues to support tourism businesses affected by low snowfall between 2022 and 2023. Ski area operators have until June 30, 2025, to comply with winter sports safety regulations. The modification deadline for the landscape authorization regulation extends to August 2026. Tourist accommodations with over 25 beds must meet fire prevention regulations by December 31, 2026, submitting a partial compliance report by December 31, 2025.

Trademark Italia: nel quarto trimestre del 2024 cresce l’occupazione e il prezzo medio camere

🏖️ In 2024, the Italian tourism industry witnessed a growth with full recovery of pre-pandemic levels, led by the return of international, especially North American and partly Asian tourists, and the MICE segment. The fourth quarter showed a room occupancy increase by 0.9 points and average room price by 5.3% from 2023. The year's total numbers marked a 1.3-point rise in R.O. and a 7.8% hike in ADR. The luxury sector (5 stars) reached 68.1% R.O. (+2.4 points from 2023) and €610.46 ADR (+5.7%), upscale (4 stars) at 74.5% R.O. (+1.2 points) and €154.72 ADR (+7.2%), and midscale (3 stars) at 72.9% R.O. (+1.2 points) and €71.50 ADR (+10%). Of 39 cities monitored, only Sassari fell below 60% R.O. Roma, Bologna, Milano, and Firenze exceeded 75% R.O., with Venice leading average room price at €247.40 (+5.7%).

🚢 🚢 Barcellona port maintained its top rank in 2024, surpassing Civitavecchia by over 190,000 passengers. Marsiglia had a slight passenger decrease, while Palma di Mallorca settled at 1.8 million passengers. Mediterranean's top 20 ports welcomed over 27 million cruisers, a 3% increase from 2023 and 13% from 2019, marking a full recovery and surpassing pre-pandemic levels. Italian ports like Livorno and Messina grew (+35.4%, +17.4% over 2023) and Palermo (+93.3% over 2019). Corfu and Pireo also saw increases (+22.2%, +14.5% over 2023), with Kotor overtaking Dubrovnik with +16.1% growth. Over the past decade, Italy's cruise traffic grew by approximately 30%. In 2024, Italian ports received over 14.2 million passengers, up 3% from 2023, and experienced a dock touches increase of 3.6% (5,127 touches). Lazio and Liguria remained the top regions for cruise traffic, accounting for 46% of passengers and 32% of dockings. Biscotti (ANAV): il turismo in autobus penalizzato da una tassa tripla
