CONFINDUSTRIA NAUTICA: UFFICIALE DI 2A CLASSE, VARATO IL DECRETO ATTUATIVO

  • Laura Alese - Federturismo Confindustria
  • 17 Marzo 2025
🛥 On March 14, 2025, Patrizia Scarchilli from the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport signed decree n. 40, establishing the professional title of 2nd class pleasure navigation Officer with its theoretical and practical exam program. Confindustria Nautica, represented by Saverio Cecchi, welcomed the decree, which addresses a 20-year gap since the suspension of the previous pleasure craft certification and aligns with the 2005 decree reform by Minister Salvini. The decree mandates nautical schools to conduct the courses, requiring candidates to pass three exam parts: charting exercises, an interview, and a sea trial on vessels over 15 meters. Candidates failing any part can retake it once within 12 months. Exams are held at least semiannually at maritime offices and published on their websites. Certain professionals and those with specific certifications are exempt from parts of the exam. The initiative aims to meet the demand for approximately 2,000 nautical sector workers.

🚢 The "La Nautica in Cifre Monitor – Trend di mercato 2024/2025" report by Confindustria Nautica highlights Italian nautical sector trends. Despite excellent results until 2023, the nautical industry faced complexities in 2024, leading to growth normalization. For units up to 24 meters, 22% predict a 2025 revenue increase; 45% expect stability, and 33% foresee decline. Accessory and motor sector projections for 2025 are positive for 16%, stable for 63%, and negative for 21%. Charter sector entrepreneurs are split, with 50% expecting positive growth and 43% stability, while 7% project a minor downturn. Turistic ports anticipate growth in all main revenue components for 2025, with increases from +1.5% for berth sales to +3.2% for transient moorings. Italian nautical production reached a historic high with €4.5 billion in exports as of September 2024. Aci Europe: a gennaio il traffico passeggeri negli aeroporti europei cresce di quasi il 7% rispetto all’anno scorso

  • Laura Alese - Federturismo Confindustria
  • 17 Marzo 2025
🛫 European passenger air traffic increased by 6.9% in January compared to the previous year, reflecting a demand resilience. Non-EU+ airports surpassed January's figures with a growth of 11.4%, while EU+ airports saw a 6% increase. International traffic grew by 8.3%, with domestic up by only 2.7%, still -12.5% below pre-pandemic levels. Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Poland, Denmark, and Greece all experienced double-digit growth. Germany, Ireland, Sweden, and Slovenia lagged due to economic weakness, internal market challenges, and aviation taxes. Israel led non-EU+ countries with a 77.7% increase, while Ukraine's airports remain closed due to war. Istanbul Airport topped with 6.4 million passengers, a 7.1% increase over January last year. Heathrow and Paris-CDG followed with 6.3 million (+5.3%) and 5.3 million (+10.5%), respectively. Madrid and Amsterdam rounded out the top five. Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen and Rome Fiumicino recorded the highest growth rates of 16.2% and 11.3%, respectively.

Global Hotel Investment Outlook di Jll: nel 2025 crescono gli investimenti nel settore alberghiero

  • Laura Alese - Federturismo Confindustria
  • 17 Marzo 2025
🏨 JLL's Global Hotel Investment Outlook projects a 15%-25% increase in global hotel investments by 2025 compared to 2024. Despite complex macroeconomic conditions, the hotel sector shows resilience with global demand reaching 4.8 billion overnight stays in November 2024, 102 million more than in 2023, and a 4% RevPar growth. While Asia-Pacific is 10% behind 2019 levels, Americas, Europe, and Middle East have fully recovered with RevPar growth between 17%-26%. In 2024, global hotel investment volumes hit $57.4 billion, a 7% rise from the previous year but below historic levels due to fewer portfolio transactions and smaller deal sizes. Italy saw €1.7 billion (around €2 billion including property conversions) invested in 2024, with luxury hotel conversions in markets like Rome being key transactions since 2019. The 2025 outlook anticipates a significant investment increase, driven by debt restructuring, investment plans for competitive upgrades, and exit timelines for recent private equity deals. Luxury and service sectors remain most attractive to investors, with increased foreign investment expected, particularly from the Middle East and American private investors targeting Europe and select U.S. cities.
