💍 Honey moon trips have evolved over a decade: shorter stays, luxury accommodations, and experiential travel are the new norm. Sea destinations feature in only 67% of trips, as couples often combine discovery with beach stays. The core age group is 25-39 years (73%), followed by 40-59 (22%) and over 59 (5%). Couples may travel with children (8%) or friends (5%). Top destinations include Asia (38%), Africa (21%), and North America (15%), with Italy favoring long-haul North American trips. Europe (10%) sees Iceland as a newcomer, while the Middle East (6%), led by Jordan's rise in 2023, and specifically Japan, show significant growth. Oceania accounts for 5%, Central America for 3%, and all of South America for 2%. Departures often occur weeks or months post-wedding, leading to winter trips to South America. Average spending has increased by 2% since 2023, with bookings made up to six months in advance. In early 2024, the United States, Peru, and Tanzania with Zanzibar are the leading destinations.
