In Rome's Trastevere historic district, a development with 72 units and 291 beds will open in Q2 2025. Florence's Palazzo Haggis, featuring 6 units, is set to open in Q4 2024, close to major attractions. Venice's Palazzo Orseolo, with 13 units and 34 beds, is being renovated in the San Marco district. Umberto Ottaviani, General Manager Italy at Numa Group, emphasizes the expansion's aim to blend historic charm with modern digital comforts.

🏨 BWH Hotels Italia & Malta reported growth in 2024, adding 14 new establishments totaling 817 rooms. After closing 2023 with €365 million in revenue, 4.5 million guest appearances, and 3 million roomnights, the 2024 year-to-date revenue per available room (RevPar) increased by 2.5% compared to 2023. New bookings are also on the rise for the next quarter. CEO Sara Digiesi emphasized the development plan's focus on added value for existing hotels and an upper-upscale WorldHotels offering, while Chief of Development Fabrizio Doria highlighted the brand's diverse portfolio and interest in lifestyle and upscale propositions.

🏠 Garibaldi Hotels expands to Matera with the management of Dimora del Monaco, adding to its 13-property portfolio which includes resorts, clubs, hotels, and historical residences. The new addition features 23 modernly designed rooms, a restaurant, private parking, and is built with eco-sustainability in mind. CEO Egidio Ventimiglia highlights the personal significance of the expansion and the brand's development, while General Manager Fabrizio Prete focuses on creating synergies with other properties like Hilton Garden Inn Lecce and Dimora Sant’Anna di Carovigno. After a positive summer season showing a 15% revenue increase in Sicily, 7-8% in Sardinia, and over 10% in mountain areas, the hotel group aims to grow further in Italy and with foreign markets, expecting a new structure in Rome by 2025.

🏥 Uvet Hotels, led by Luca Patanè, expands with eight new properties, reaching a total of eleven. The hotels opening between this winter and next spring include Hotel Piccolo in Portofino, Royal in Positano, Palumbalza in Porto Rotondo, Alaska in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Hotel Les Jumeaux in Courmayeur, Miramonti in Corvara, Ca’ Zusto and Hotel Giudecca in Venice. These additions bring Uvet's portfolio to over 770 rooms worldwide and maintain an existing staff of over 200 people.

🏠 Aleph Rome Hotel introduces "Emperor's Retreat Experience," a tribute to Emperor Augustus and ancient Rome, offering a stay in the opulent Augusto Suite and hotel spa. Guests receive a welcome drink, "Domus Augustana," crafted by mixologist Lorenzo Politano using a Zero Waste, Build technique with ingredients favored by Augustus. A luxurious in-room breakfast and a 60-minute spa treatment, "The Body Sculpting," inspired by Roman beauty practices, complete the experience.

🏡 Villa Radici, part of the Augustus Hotel & Resort's distributed resort project, will open in summer 2025, offering seven sophisticated and comfortable accommodations. The renovation by Discreet Architecture and De.Tales merges Forte dei Marmi's historic Liberty style with contemporary design. Giacomo Maschietto, CEO, after a successful season exceeding expectations, emphasizes the resort's commitment to luxury and the unique "villa living" experience.

🏡 Gruppo Una announced the opening of Maniace Boutique Hotel Ortigia, a new 4-star addition to their Una Esperienze collection, located in the ancient part of Syracuse. The hotel features 21 modern and brightly designed rooms and suites named after Sicilian cultural elements, such as "pupi" and "fichi d’India". Amenities include a breakfast room with views of a 4th century apse, a private historic garden, and an elegant outdoor terrace. Gruppo Una, with this launch, now operates 6 facilities in Sicily, affirming its growth and presence in the region.

🏨 Fondazione Fiera Milano tasks Savills to select a hospitality player to manage two hotel facilities in Rho, in the former office area of Fiera Milano S.p.A. Aiming to develop its real estate assets, the foundation plans to convert spaces into one Midscale full-services and one Economy limited-services hotel, totaling about 200 rooms plus amenities. Savills' specialized Team Hospitality & Leisure will identify the future operator. Dario Leone, Head of Hospitality & Leisure at Savills, anticipates strong interest from operators looking to expand or establish in Milan.
